Riley Nelson connected twice with wide receiver Cody Hoffman on six yard and four yard touchdown passes. BYU leads Idaho 42-7 at halftime.

Standout Players

 

Cody Hoffman – Hoffman caught two touchdown passes during the second quarter to finish the first half with three touchdown catches and 91 yards receiving.

Riley Nelson – Nelson finished the first half 16-27 for 193 yards and three touchdown passes. He rushed five times for 50 yards.

Robbie Buckner – intercepted quarterback Logan Bushnell at the BYU 37.

Quarter Highlights

 

Quarterback Riley Nelson connected with wide receiver Cody Hoffman for a six yard touchdown pass in the corner of the end zone to put the Cougars up 35-7 early in the second quarter. With 6:49 remaining in the quarter, Nelson hit Hoffman streaking across the center of the end zone for a four yard-touchdown pass. Hoffman’s second touchdown pass of the quarter extended BYU’s lead to 42-7 going into halftime.
