The BYU football team held its annual banquet following the conclusion of the 2012 season on Wednesday night.

KSL Radio's Greg Wrubell served as master of ceremonies for the event held at the Utah Valley Convention Center. Wrubell introduced the evening with various statistics and honors earned from the 2012 campaign.

Patti Edwards, wife of legendary former BYU football coach LaVell Edwards, introduced a special video tribute in honor of Lance Reynolds. After over 30 years involved with BYU football as a player and a coach, Reynolds is stepping aside from football. The video used footage of current and former players looking back on the tremendous impact Reynolds had on them both on and off the field.

Reynolds was also honored with an award from head coach Bronco Mendenhall and later Reynolds spoke briefly about his time with BYU.

The senior captains of the team were able to deliver a message to the team, though David Foote and Brandon Ogletree were unable to attend to due to prior commitments. Senior Riley Nelson spoke of the memories with the team and the great opportunity it was to be a teammate. Coach Mendenhall read a message he received from Ogletree while playing at the Casino Del Sol College All-Star game. Ogletree told the team how much of a privilege it was to play at BYU and the special place the the school is and to not take it for granted.

Mendenhall and members of the university and athletics administrations then honored the Cougar seniors departing the program with their senior blankets.
