BYU punter Riley Stephenson has earned College Football Performance Awards Honorable Mention Punter of the Week accolades for his performance against No. 24 Boise State.
Though the Cougars fell in a close contest, 7-6, Stephenson made an impact on special teams with punts of 52, 55, 56 and 57 yards. The St. George, Utah, native punted six times for an average of 47.0 yards. Four of the senior’s six punts pinned the Broncos inside their 20-yard line.
Stephenson is No. 5 nationally in punting with an average of 47.3 yards. Stephenson was also named the FBS Independent Special Teams Player of the Week.
