Former BYU football players Harvey Unga and Hebron Fangupo were added to 53-man rosters by NFL teams this week.

Unga, BYU's leader in career rushing yards, was promoted from the practice squad by the Chicago Bears, the team that originally drafted him in the seventh round of the 2010 NFL Supplemental Draft. Unga had been waived by the Bears twice before being signed again to the practice squad Dec. 4 and elevated to the 53-man roster this week.

Fangupo, a 6-foot-1, 323-pound nose tackle, was claimed off waivers by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played one season for the Cougars in 2011 after transferring from USC. Fangupo had been with the Seattle Seahawks since September but was waived on Friday before being picked up by the Steelers.
