Traveling to Northern California

BYU softball departed Miller Park Thursday en route to Moraga, California, to face Saint Mary's in its first 2015 West Coast Conference series this weekend.

Prior to landing in Oakland, the Cougars flew on a plane that happened to be co-piloted by a former BYU football player.

The plane took off on time, avoiding the 5 p.m. no-fly zone before the President of the United States was set to land in Utah.

It was my junior year. I finally started bending the pole and jumping higher than 10 feet. I ended up jumping 12-2.00 my junior year and coaches started calling me.

Matt Foley, a long snapper out of Temecula Valley High School, has signed an offer of admission to BYU and will join the football program for the 2015 season.

Here's plenty of video and audio from the weekend's big upset of No. 3/2 Gonzaga in Spokane, Washington. Kyle Collinsworth scored 20 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and dished out 3 assists on Saturday and was named WCC Player of the Week for his efforts in the victory.
