ESPNU Road Trip to air BYU episode Wednesday night

ESPNU Road Trip, a weekly show hightlighting college football and the atmosphere in college towns, is airing an episode featuring BYU. The show airs this Wednesday  at 5:30 p.m. MDT on ESPNU.

BYU vs. Utah fourth quarter

BYU had possession of the ball at the end of the game but couldn't convert. The Utes held on to win 20-13.

The Cougars scored their first touchdown on a touchdown carry by Michael Alisa from the one-yard line with 5:13 remaining in the game. BYU's scoring drive consisted of six plays and 44 yards in the span of 1:49.

JD Falslev had a 61-yard rush on a punt return with 9:44 remaining in the game.

The Cougars added six points to the board on two made field goals in the quarter to cut the deficit to 13-6.

BYU's first points came on a 32-yard field goal by Justin Sorensen with 11:39 remaining in the third quarter. The Cougars scored another field goal that came from the 31-yard line to cut the deficit to 13-6 with 5:39 left in the quarter.

BYU entered halftime down 13-0 after Utah rushed 74 yards to get a one-yard touchdown pass with 1:22 left in the half. 

Wide receiver Cody Hoffman completed a 32-yard pass from Taysom Hill for a first down with 6:40 left in the quarter. The reception marked the 34th-straight game Hoffman has had at least one reception. He also led the team with 61 yards in the first half.

BYU and Utah's defense held strong to start the first quarter forcing each other to punt until Utah made a field goal late in the quarter to put them up 3-0.

Defensive lineman Remington Peck recorded a sack that resulted in a loss of seven yards for Utah. Taysom Hill completed a 30-yard pass to Brett Thompson, but BYU was outrushed 126-73.

This week BYU was named the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl National Team of the Week after its 40-21 victory over then No. 15 Texas at LaVell Edwards Stadium.

Rushing for a school-record 550 yards, BYU held tight in the fourth quarter to beat No. 15 Texas 40-21.

The Cougars were led by quarterback Taysom Hill, who ended the game with the second most rushing yards by an NCAA quarterback in the last 10 years with 259.

With a 34-yard rush from running back Jamaal Williams on its last drive, BYU broke the single-game rushing record in school history and took a 40-21 lead into the fourth. The previous record was 465 yards against Montana in 1958. The 485 rushing yards BYU picked up are also the most Texas has allowed in school history.
