Blue & White Stripe Game set for UCLA

On Saturday, Sept. 17, BYU Football will host UCLA in its home opener at LaVell Edwards Stadium. For the UCLA game we are encouraging fans to participate in a stadium wide Blue & White Stripe Game. This will consist of fans sitting in the ODD sections wearing BLUE and fans in the EVEN sections and the ROC wearing WHITE.

MOBILE, Ala. - Seven BYU football players were named to the 2016-17 Reese's Senior Bowl Watch List announced Tuesday afternoon.

Mitchell Juergens named to 2016 Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watch List

TYLER, TEXAS – BYU senior wide receiver Mitchell Juergens was named to the fourth annual Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watch List announced today at the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce East Texas Kick-off Luncheon.

After practice on Tuesday, the team made its way to the Indoor Practice Facility for the team's annual photo day. The players were dressed in their gameday uniforms. The photos and videos will be used for television broadcasts, on the video boards at LaVell Edwards Stadium this season and for other promotional purposes.

Taysom Hill one of 32 players on 2016 CFPA Performer of the Year preseason watch list

Senior quarterback Taysom Hill was one of 32 players named to the 2016 National Performer of the Year preseason watch list by the College Football Performance Awards on Wednesday.

The list features 22 FBS quarterbacks and 10 running backs, honoring the nation's best collegiate performer.

College Sports Madness puts 19 players on Preseason All-Independent Teams

The staff at College Sports Madness has picked the top players in college football for the 2016 team. Headlining the 2016 Preseason All-Independent Teams are 19 players from BYU's squad.

Senior defensive back Kai Nacua was selected as the Defensive Player of the Year on the preseason list. Nacua grabbed six interceptions last year, tying a program record and finished tied for No. 7 nationally. He also returned two picks for touchdowns. 

New book by former Cougar Brock Richardson

Former BYU defensive lineman Brock Richardson (2007-08) recently published a book entitled Latter-day Warriors — Stepping Into Your Spiritual Strength. Currently a seminary teacher for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Richardson interviewed several formal BYU football players and their wives to learn what it takes to become physically and spiritually strong.

Sitake commended by the Utah Attorney General's Office

BYU head football coach Kalani Sitake traveled up to the Utah State Capitol building Thursday after practice to accept a Certificate of Commendation from the Utah Attorney General's Office for his contribution to education and athletics and for being an ambassador for the State of Utah.

Attorney General Sean Reyes and Governor Gary Herbert posed for pitcures and congratulated Sitake along with Utah head football coach Kyle Whittingham, who also received the honor.
