After a sack and an incomplete pass in the first two plays of the game, freshman quarterback Tanner Mangum launched an 84-yard touchdown pass to Mitchell Juergens for the first score of the game.

BYU quarterback Tanner Mangum will be featured on Tuesday night’s editions of ESPN SportsCenter as the “SC Campus Hero” for Week 1 of the college football season.
 
ESPN reporter Jeannine Edwards traveled to BYU's campus to take a look at a day in the life of Mangum just days removed from his “Hail Mary” pass to wide reciever Mitch Mathews to beat Nebraska.

BYU football opens the 2015 season this afternoon against the Nebraska Cornhuskers with kickoff at 2:36 CDT/1:36 MDT at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln.

The game will be broadcast before a nationally televised audience on ABC with online access available through ESPN3 on WatchESPN.

Following team and position meetings and a walk-through in Provo Friday morning, the BYU football team departed for its season opener at Nebraska. 

The team went to Memorial Stadium after landing for a chance to get a walk through on the playing field in Lincoln. After getting acclimated to Nebraska's home field, the Cougars participated in a fireside later in the evening in Omaha.

PROVO, Utah – BYUtv televised 21 consecutive hours of BYU football programming during the fifth-annual BYU Football National Media Day on June 24. Four hours of live programming was featured on BYUtv during the day as well as three hours of live online chats. BYU coaches and staff participated along with more than a dozen players on the 2015 team and 70 football alumni from the past 40 years.
