BYU behind Cincinnati 10-0 after first quarter

On its first drive, Cincinnati rushed for 24 yards and quarterback Hayden Moore threw three completions. BYU stopped the Bearcat drive on the 13-yard line forcing a 29-yard Cincinnati field goal. With the score, the Bearcats went up 3-0.

BYU holds off to beat ECU 45-38 in first meeting between schools

ECU forced BYU to a punt early in the 4th quarter. They drove down the field in 1:52 for 85 yards and a 2-yard touchdown run by Chris Hairston to decrease BYU's lead to 38-28.

A three-and-out for the Cougars gave ECU the ball back with 11 minutes to go. A defensive stand at the BYU 45-yard line forced ECU to punt with 10 minutes to go. Another three-and-out gave ECU the ball again with eight minutes to go.

Algie Brown opened the third quarter with a 53-yard touchdown run to make the lead for the Cougars 35-21.

Two plays into the second quarter, Bronson Kaufusi blocked Worth Gregory's punt, placing the Cougars on ECU's 1-yard line. Algie Brown ran the ball in for the touchdown three plays later.

On East Carolina's first drive, Sione Takitaki ended the drive after a nine yard sack on 3rd and 10.

Tanner Mangum connected with senior Mitch Mathews on 3rd and 13 for a 45-yard gain. However, three plays later, running back Algie Brown fumbled on a 4th down conversion, giving ECU the ball again at BYU's 31-yard line.

BYU downs UConn 30-13

Trevor Samson knocked in a 25-yard field goal on the opening drive of the fourth quarter, giving BYU a 13-10 lead.

Bronson Kaufusi picked off Bryant Shirreffs' pass on the next series, returning the ball to the UConn 21-yard line. On the next play, Tanner Mangum threw a 21-yard touchdown pass to Mitch Mathews, putting the Cougars up 20-10.
