Cougars defeat BYU-Hawaii in dominant fashion, 110-63

BYU reached 100 points with three minutes remaining in the second half and beat BYU-Hawaii by a score of 110-63.

The Cougars held the Seasiders to only 28 points in the half.

BYU went on a 22-0 run over the Seasiders that spanned nearly eight minutes beginning at the 16:36 mark. The run extended the Cougar lead to 40, making it 84-44. BYU scored 17 more points in the final five minutes before claiming the final victory.

BYU found the basket quite a bit in the first half of the Cougars’ exhibition matchup against its island counterpart BYU-Hawaii on Wednesday.

The Cougars scored the first six points of the contest with baskets from senior Kyle Davis and sophomore Eric Mika, and were able to maintain a lead the entire half.

Team serves at Athletic Connection Day 2016

BYU gymnastics participated in Athletic Connection at Saturday's practice, a program in which Cougar athletes teach physical skills to children and adults who have Down syndrome. The university's Center for Service and Learning facilitates the program.

Kickoff time and TV networks announced for BYU vs UMass

The BYU vs UMass football game on Saturday, Nov. 19, will kickoff at noon MT (2pm ET). The game will be simulcast live to a national audience on BYUtvESPN3 and the WatchESPN app.

Probably my grandpa. He played at Rick’s College for a while and set some records there. He’s been a role model to me. I’d also have to say Barry Sanders as well.

BYU gymnastics parties with scavenger "haunt"

BYU gymnastics celebrated Halloween with its annual scavenger hunt on Friday. The gymnasts dressed in costumes and divided into teams as they filmed each other completing items on the scavenger hunt list. The hunt included teaching routines to students and impersonating old pictures in the Student Athlete Building.

Linehan named a 2016 Ray Guy Award candidate

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Senior punter Jonny Linehan was named to the 2016 Ray Guy Award complete list of candidates, as announced on Monday.

Linehan has had a solid season so far in 2016. He is averaging 43.2 yards per punt with 1,816 total yards. Eighteen of his punts have been pinned inside the 20 and his longest punt of the season is 62 yards. He has had 10 punts over 50 yards, which is how many he had in all of 2015.

I love them. Coach Sitake recruited me when he was at Utah. It all worked out really well.

What has been your favorite football memory so far?
Beating Nebraska. That was a big game and we came out with a win.
