Game time and television plans for BYU's season opener at Nebraska on Sept. 5 have been determined. The Cougars will kick off their 2015 season in a 2:30 p.m. CT/1:30 p.m. MT nationally featured Saturday afternoon matchup on ABC.

Played at historic Memorial Stadium,  the 85,000-seat Memorial Stadium has been home of the Huskers since 1923. Nebraska currently holds the NCAA record for consecutive sellouts with an amazing 340-straight football games selling out, a streak that dates back to 1962.

2015-16 college football bowl schedule announced

ESPN Events, a subsidiary of ESPN, has determined the date, time and network for each of the company’s 13 owned and operated bowl games for the 2015 season, including possible bowl destinations for the BYU football program.

ESPN and BYU previously announced the Cougars have accepted an invitation to play in either the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl or the Hawai’i Bowl following the 2015 football season if bowl eligible and not selected to participate in the College Football Playoff.

POPPING BUTTONS: There have been several proud moments during the season. Among the top is a true button-popping celebration at home plate following Jarrett Jarvis' walk-off home run in a 4-3 victory at Saint Mary's College. All six-buttons were ripped off Jarvis' jersey No. 16 in the celebration which not only gave BYU the win, but the No. 3 seed going into the WCC Tournament.

Bravo, Bull and Broderick earn NFCA All-Pacific Region

BYU softball’s Gordy Bravo, McKenna Bull and Sydney Broderick were all named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Pacific Region Third Team Thursday.

BYU conducts Southern California FanFest

BYU Athletics visited Southern California on Tuesday, conducting a FanFest event for Cougar Fans in the Golden Gate state. 

Football head coach Bronco Mendenhall and men's basketball head coach Dave Rose took part in the event along with several players on the football and men's basketball teams and members of the BYU administration and cheer squad. Of course, Cosmo was on hand as well. 

Quinn Lawlor drafted by CFL's Montreal Alouettes

Former BYU offensive lineman Quinn Lawlor was drafted in the sixth round, 48th overall, by the Montreal Alouettes in the 2015 Canadian Football League Draft.

The 6-foot-4, 306-pounder will reunite with former Cougar wideout Cody Hoffman in Montreal. Hoffman signed a two-year deal with the Alouettes earlier this year.

Lawlor played in seven games for BYU during his career. He prepped at Orem High School and was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

After catching a morning flight to LAX, BYU softball arrived in Southern California ahead of its games against Loyola Marymount University in its final West Coast Conference series.

The Cougars shook the rust off at Smith Field on the beautiful LMU campus with some fielding and hitting work before the clouds gave way to rain.

Game one against the Lions will be streamed live Friday at noon PDT on The W.tv.
