Women's Basketball in Hanover, New Hampshire

Hanover and Dartmouth

The team arrived in Boston Sunday evening. Our bus driver took us for a short drive to downtown Boston where everyone got to experience a wide variety of food choices. After dinner, it was back on the bus for about a 90-minute drive to Hanover, New Hampshire.

Monday began with a morning practice at Dartmouth. After a quick shower, lunch was in downtown Hanover at “Everything But Anchovies” – a local favorite for sandwiches, wraps and salads.

Last week truTV put out a press release with broadcast details for the 2012 Acura Coaches vs. Cancer Classic. Here's another release with more information about the broadcast plans, including details about a feature on Coach Rose that will air during the event and the broadcast team that will call the game.

BYU vs. Georgia State preview

BYU men’s basketball will host Georgia State on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. MST in the Marriott Center. The game is the second in the Acura Coaches vs. Cancer Classic and is the first-ever meting between the two teams.

Led by its three captains, BYU won its 2012-13 season opener 81-66 over Tennessee State last Friday.

Honoring Veterans and some player honors

With Veterans Day taking place this year on Sunday, Nov. 11, the annual holiday honoring the many military personnel who have served and are serving this country is observed today. Prior to BYU's 52-13 victory over Idaho on Saturday, a 100-yard-long flag was carried onto the field, covering it entirely, by members of the Army and Air Force ROTC for the singing of the National Anthem. Check out the photos below and many thanks to all who have and are serving in the Armed Forces!

James Lark hit Cody Raymond for a two-yard touchdown pass early in the fourth quarter to put BYU up 49-10. Kicker Justin Sorensen hit a 31-yard field goal with 1:50 remaining in the quarter to extend BYU’s lead to 52-10. Kicker Trey Farquhar kicked a 35-yard field goal at the end of the game to bring the final score to 52-13.

Idaho kicker Trey Farquhar kicked a 39 yard field goal with 8:28 remaining in the third quarter to bring the score to 42-10 BYU. On 4th and goal, Idaho forced a fumble at the one yard line recovering the football for a touchback with 2:07 remaining. BYU leads 42-10 at the end of three quarters.
