College Sports Maddness - Preseason All-America List

College Sports Madness (CSM), an online sports destination that recently added women's soccer to its repertoire, has released its 2012 Preseason All-Americans and included BYU senior Lindsi Lisonbee Cutshall to its First Team. Cutshall was also added to CSM's Preseason All-West Coast Conference Team earlier this month.

2012 BYU Football Almanac now online

Cougar fans can now check out the online version of the 2012 BYU Football Almanac. The online version features an index to pages with the most up to date information about the 2012 squad including bios on coaches and players, team facts and other interesting information on BYU football. Look for it on the BYU football page on byucougars.com under Football Quick Links, or under the Info tab on the menu at the top of the football home page.

Forty-two men and 38 women have been identified as players to follow this season, as these individuals have been named to the Missouri Athletic Club’s (MAC) Hermann Trophy Watch Lists for 2012. Included on that list is BYU women's soccer defender Lindsi Lisonbee Cutshall

LaVell Edwards Stadium video display coming along

Fans attending the BYU fall football scrimmage Thursday got a sneak peak of the new video display system at LaVell Edwards Stadium. 

The state-of-the-art ANC Sports Enterprises video display system includes 16mm surface mount LED video screens, each measuring 35 feet high by 50 feet wide. In addition, approximately 210 feet of LED ribbon flank both sides of each scoreboard, running across the top of the north and south end zones.

BYU recently set up a couple of webcams in LaVell Edwards Stadium to help in monitoring the installation progress of the new high-definition video wall displays. We thought Cougar Nation might be interested in a sneak peek. Here are the links…

Thursday's Heroes, football team enjoy reunion

Fifty-one different Thursday's Heroes gathered with their families and the BYU football team on Tuesday night for a reunion on the football practice fields. The approximately 500 people in attendance enjoyed a nice dinner and entertainment while catching up with each other. 

US Men's Volleyball Falls in Olympic Quarterfinals

After clinching the top seed in the tournament at the London Olympics, the defending champion U.S. men’s volleyball fell to Italy in straight sets in the quarterfinals Wednesday.

Former Cougars Rich Lambourne and Russell Holmes are members of the U.S. team. Lambourne and Holmes started at their respective positions of libero and middle blocker throughout their team's tournament run. 

Team USA reached the quarterfinals after topping Tunisia 25-15, 25-19, 25-19 Monday.
