BYUtv will air a special encore of the USU vs. BYU women’s basketball played in Provo Tuesday night at 7 p.m., tonight.

The rebroadcast will replace BYUtv's scheduled live men's basketball game between BYU and the Aggies that was supposed to be played tonight at the Marriott Center.

Athletics officials from BYU and Utah State determined that tonight's men's basketball game between the two universities will be postponed due to the serious medical condition of USU student-athlete Danny Berger that occurred during practice on Tuesday.

The game will be preceded at the top and again at halftime by a short introduction featuring Dave McCann explaining the game postponement circumstances and extending well-wishes to Danny, his family, teammates, and USU fans.

Game at Harvard

Today was the final game the team played in the Boston area.  After a disappointing loss at Boston College yesterday, the team looked to bounce back against Harvard.

A nice crowd of BYU fans came to cheer on the Cougars as they battled Harvard in a closely fought battle.  Unfortunately, it didn’t go our way at the end. Kim Beeston, Lexi Eaton and Keilani Unga all recorded double digits in scoring in the game with Haley Steed leading the way in assists with a game-high eight.

The team returns home Saturday night for a short stay. They go back on the road again on Monday to play at Arizona on Tuesday, one of three Pac-12 schools the Cougar will play this season. They are at Washington State on Saturday.

Boston College – Game Day

After breakfast in the hotel, the women’s team gathered to watch film on tonight’s opponent Boston College, and then it was off to shoot around at the Conte Forum, on the BC campus. On the way to our practice, we took a short detour so we could see the Boston Temple. We stopped for just a few minutes to take a couple of pictures. At the game we had a small, but loud cheering section. Unfortunately, we came up short at the end, losing to Boston College 62-56.

Wednesday – a day in between games

We arrived in Newton, MA via bus late Tuesday night after leaving from Hanover, NH with the win over Dartmouth. Wednesday morning was spent practicing at Harvard. Once the girls showered we met with Dr. Roger Porter, who is on the faculty at Harvard and is a BYU alumni. He gave us a wonderful tour of the campus where we learned a lot about the school's history. He took us to Dunster House where he is the House Master. We enjoyed a delicious lunch there in the eating area that is reminiscent of the Dining Hall in the Harry Potter books and movies. In the evening we drove into Boston for dinner at a seafood restaurant. Afterwards, our bus driver John, pointed out a few famous landmarks including a night view of Fenway Park.

Win at Dartmouth

In its first road game of the season, the BYU women’s basketball team sneaked out with a one-point, 58-57 win over Dartmouth. It was a rainy, cold day in Hanover as the team prepared for its first road test of the year. Game day started with breakfast, watching film on Dartmouth and a one-hour shoot around at Leede Arena. The pregame meal was at one of the team’s favorite places, Panera. BYU had a nice cheering section at the game, thanks in part, to the efforts of Jordan and Allie Judkins (coach Judkins’ son and daughter-in-law) who invited several members (around 50) from their Lebanon Ward. Cheers were also coming from many family members including Ashley’s mom and grandparents, Haley’s parents and Morgan’s mom, aunt and cousin. Husband’s Travis Seaborn and Spencer Beeston were also among those that made the long trip from Utah to support the women’s team. Everyone in attendance enjoyed a thrilling, down to the wire victory by the Cougars!!! Sophomore Morgan Bailey recorded her first double double of her career with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Hanover and Dartmouth

The team arrived in Boston Sunday evening. Our bus driver took us for a short drive to downtown Boston where everyone got to experience a wide variety of food choices. After dinner, it was back on the bus for about a 90-minute drive to Hanover, New Hampshire.

Monday began with a morning practice at Dartmouth. After a quick shower, lunch was in downtown Hanover at “Everything But Anchovies” – a local favorite for sandwiches, wraps and salads.

After lunch it was back on the bus for a short drive to Sharon, Vermont where we toured the Joseph Smith Birthplace Visitor’s Center. Everyone had the opportunity to walk around the grounds, take pictures, listened to a 15-minute presentation from Brother and Sister Fischer and then watched a short film on the importance of families.

Day 1 NCAA Women's Championship

The No. 10 seed BYU women’s basketball team began its run in the 2012 NCAA Tournament Thursday.

The Cougars along with the band and Cougarettes departed from the Provo Airport, landing in Chicago that evening where two buses awaited their arrival for the short drive to the team hotel just a few miles away. Sandwiches and drinks were passed out to everyone.

On approach to the Chicago O’Hare airport they were able to see a beautiful view of the windy city and their team hotel. A lightning storm in the distance lit the sky as they landed.
