Sophomore defender Paige Hunt and senior goalkeeper Erica Owens were given weekly awards by two different websites this week after the No. 20 BYU women's soccer team defeated Gonzaga and then-No. 6 Portland 1-0 last week.

Hunt was named a Primetime Performer by collegesoccer360.com for her defensive effort and her assist on the game winning goal against Portland.

Owens was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week by collegesportsmadness.com for recording two shutouts last week.

As a defense, the Cougars have recorded four straight shutouts and have eight this season. They take on San Diego on Friday at 7 p.m. at South Field. The game will be broadcast live on BYUtv.
