As was announced at the Cougar Club Luncheon on October 9, 2008, BYU will host the 2009 NCAA National Collegiate Men’s Volleyball Championship in the Smith Fieldhouse on Thursday and Saturday, May 7 & 9. This is the first NCAA Championship that BYU has hosted since 1986. The two national semi-final contests will be held on Thursday (tentatively at 7 and 9 pm) with the winners meeting in the National Championship Match at 4 pm on Saturday.
Tickets are on sale now. All-Session Tickets include seating for all three games.
VIP all-session tickets (which include priority parking, access to a hospitality room, and a souvenir program) are available for $100. Other ticket options include all-session reserved tickets for $35.00, adult general admission all-session tickets for $25 , and student (ages 2-college age) general admission all-session tickets for $20.
Cougar Club members are encourage to purchase BYU Men’s Volleyball Season Tickets, which also went on sale today. By becoming a season ticket holder, Club Members qualify to order reserved seating for the NCAA Championships. Options included Courtside season tickets (padded chairs at center court) for $250 and reserved season tickets (chairs)--$60 for club members and $48 for BYU faculty, staff, and administrators.
BYU Men’s Volleyball season ticket holders will have first opportunity to purchase reserved NCAA Championship tickets--now through Friday, Oct. 31. Beginning Monday, November 3, any remaining all-session reserved championship tickets will be made available to the public.
