Utah County Cougar Club Luncheon—March 5

The next Cougar Club luncheon will be held March 5. Head Men’s Golf Coach Bruce Brockbank and Head Men’s Basketball Coach Dave Rose will be our featured speakers.

The doors will open and lunch will be served at 11:30 am. The program will begin at noon. Lunch will be provide for the first 300 people, by luncheon sponsors Brick Oven Restaurant and Swire Coca Cola. Your Cougar Club Membership Card must be presented to attend this event; two people will be admitted per membership card.

Salt Lake Cougar Club Luncheon—March 19

Doors will open at 11:45 am and lunch will be served at 12 noon. All those interested in attending the must RSVP and pre-pay for admittance by the Thursday, prior to the event. The cost of the meal is $15 for Club Members, $17 for Club Members’ Guests, and $20 for non-Club Members. More information about the speakers will be disseminated as it is finalized.

Cougar Club Day at Men’s Volleyball—March 20

All Cougar Club Members are invited to attend the BYU Men's Volleyball Game against the Long Beach State 49ers on Friday, March 20, at 7 pm. Club Members and their immediate families (family members living at home) may attend the game free of charge by presenting their Cougar Club Membership Card at the Smith Fieldhouse doors as they enter the arena. Y Awards—March 31

The BYU Athletic Department will be holding its annual Y Awards Program on Tuesday, March 31, at 7:30 pm in the Wilkinson Center Ballroom. We will be honoring BYU's exceptional student athletes, coaches, and competitions of 2008 at this celebration. The format for this exciting event is similar to the ESPYs or the Academy Awards, with celebrity guests presenting the nominees in each category and then opening the envelope to announce the winner. The event will be filmed for broadcast on KBYU. All BYU student athletes, coaches, and athletic administrators are also invited to attend at this event.

A written invitation for you and a guest will be arriving in the mail in the upcoming weeks. Dress for the event is semi-formal. Please mark your calendar.

NCAA Men’s Volleyball Championships—May 7 & 9

BYU is delighted to host the 2009 NCAA Men’s Volleyball National Championships on May 7 and 9. We have several options for purchasing group discount tickets (for your company, family or friends) at a 40% discount and opportunities for your to participate in the Volley Village Luau that will be a unique aspect of the tournament.

Tournament tickets have sold so quickly that BYU just opened 72 additional All-Session VIP seats and 400 additional All-Session Reserved seat tickets. We want to ensure that athletic donors have every opportunity to attend the championship matches at BYU. The NCAA Men’s Volleyball Finals will feature the four best teams from across the nation—an event that has never been held in the State of Utah before.

Don’t miss your opportunity to see some of the best volleyball in the country at a special price. We are also offering General Admission All-Session group tickets for $15 each (a 40 % discount) when you purchase 20 or more. All-Session tickets includes the two semi-final matches on May 7th and the National Championship match on May 9th.

Tickets also provide admission into the Volley Village Luau, which will be held on the west side of the Smith Fieldhouse and will include mini camps, interactive games, Polynesian dancers, fire performers, food, and more.
