BYU Women's Basketball Guide: 2009–10 Recap

In a display of offensive energy, well fought defense and a season-and career-high 19 points from Kristen Riley, the BYU women’s basketball team defeated the Air Force Falcons 77-46 keeping their undefeated MWC record alive.

Everything seemed to fall into place for the Cougars (11-3, 2-0) from tip off to the finals seconds of the game. BYU’s Kristen Riley was especially hot in the beginning of the game scoring nine out of the Cougars first 11 points.

BYU guard Jazmine Foreman kept the momentum alive by firing off back-to-back 3-pointers.

The first half ended with BYU on top 41-22, as they were perfect from the line and shot 64.3 percent from the field.

In the second half, the Falcons came out with intensity and brought the game to within 13 with the score at 52-39 with 12:33 left. The 13-point gap was the closest Air Force ever got.
