- Started indoor season at the Washington Indoor Invitational with a 29th place finish in the 3000m (9:53.52)
- Competed at the Husky Classic in the 5000m and finished with a time of 17:20.43
- Commenced outdoor season with an 8th place 1500m (4:39.18) finish at the Baldy Castillo Invitational
- Placed first at the Mt. Sac. Relays in the 5000m with a time of 16:46.90
- Placed ninth at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships in the 5000m (18:36.13)
- Finished the season with a seventeenth place finish at the West Regional in the 5000m (17:11.90)
BEFORE BYU:
- Prepped at La Costa Canyon High School
- A four year varsity track letter winner
- A four year state qualifier
- Was the Palomar League Runner-Up in 2005 for the 1600m and 3200m
- Was the CIF Champion for the 1600m and 3200m in 2006-2007
- Placed ninth at the California State Championships in 2006 for the 1600m
- Took sixth in the 2007 State Championships for the 3200m
- Named Today's Local News All-Star in 2007
- An All-American Team Scholar Athlete
- Lettered four years in cross country
