Final NCAA Statistics

Aside from Nate Fernley ending up as the nation's winningest pitcher, BYU finished with nine other placings in the 2001 NCAA final baseball statistics.

Fernley's 16-3 record topped the NCAA victories mark. Sophomore Matt Carson finished 25th in both runs batted in (1.25 average) and home runs (0.32 average). Sophomores Doug Jackson (0.154) and Cameron Coughlin (0.134) finished eighth and 15th, respectively in triples.

The Cougars had five team rankings in the 2001 NCAA final statistics. BYU was fourth in triples averaged (0.53), 16th in slugging (.509), 21st in scoring (8.07 runs), 29th in home runs (1.22), and 31st in batting with a .321 average.
