SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference has named its Rawlings Pitcher and Player of the Week for March 25, 2013.
RAWLINGS WEST COAST CONFERENCE PITCHER OF THE WEEK
DESMOND POULSON, JR., RHP, BYU
BYU junior Desmond Poulson is the Rawlings West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week. Poulson threw a five-hit shutout in a 3-0 series-opening victory vs. Kansas in Provo, striking out seven in throwing 107 pitches. The right-hander lowered his ERA from 2.29 to 1.83, walking just one batter.

RAWLINGS WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
AUSTIN DAVIDSON, SO., 3B, PEPPERDINE
Pepperdine sophomore third baseman Austin Davidson is the Rawlings West Coast Conference Player of the Week. Davidson hit .714 (10-14) with five doubles, a home run, three RBI and seven runs scored as the Waves swept visiting Santa Clara. The Pepperdine third baseman slugged 1.286, had an on-base percentage of .733 and recorded six hits in consecutive at-bats at one point. In the finale, Davidson was 3-for-5 with a double, a home run, and a career-high five runs scored.
