WORTHY OF NOTE FROM FIRST TWO GAMES

-- Jared Jensen has shown he can be a go-to player in the post. Despite his limited shot opportunities, he is 7-of-11 from the floor while averaging a team-best 9.5 ppg. He has been among the most consistent Cougars in the early going, scoring nine points vs. North Carolina and a team-high 11 points vs. Stanford.
-- Derek Dawes grabbed 10 rebounds in 16 minutes off the bench vs. Stanford Tuesday. He is averaging 5.0 rebounds per outing.
-- Garner Meads has made some strong offensive moves to try and give the Cougar offense a little spark. He has also proven effective on the glass, sharing team-high rebounding honors after two games with Keena Young at 7.0 rpg.
LOOKING TO IMPROVE
After two games, BYU is shooting just .333 from the floor, including .256 on threes, and .622 from the line. The Cougars have also committed an average of 23 turnovers per game to only 6.0 assists.
Garner Meads suffered an ankle injury Tuesday. His status for Wednesday's game will be a game-time decision. Although he has played the last two games, Mike Hall is still recovering from an ankle injury that kept him from practicing the week prior to the Maui Invitational.
