Davies named to Lute Olson Award Preseason All-America Team

BYU senior Brandon Davies has been named to the Lute Olson Award Preseason All-America Team. This honor comes on the heels of Davies earning a spot on the John R. Wooden Award Preseason Top 50 list and the Preseason All-WCC Team.

Davies opened the 2012-13 season with 16 points on 7 of 9 shooting while adding seven boards, three assists, four blocks and two steals in BYU's 81-66 win over Tennessee State. Last season he averaged 15.2 points and 7.7 rebounds while shooting .516 from the field. The Provo, Utah, native added 47 blocks and 51 steals while leading BYU to a 26-9 record and a trip to the 2012 NCAA Tournament. Davies was at his best in the second half of the season as he upped his averages to 18.0 points and 8.1 rebounds during league play and earned All-WCC honors.
