While BYU played poorly in defeat at North Carolina State, ESPN.com's Andy Katz said he believes the Cougars should still be among the West's best teams this year.

Katz, a senior writer for ESPN.com, was in Raleigh Wednesday as part of the ESPN2 crew covering the BYU at North Carolina State game. In his view, the NC State defeat was just one bad night for a Cougar program that has risen from one-time basketball irrelevance nationally to a program that now should be taken into account regularly come March.

BYU center Rafael Araujo is also named by Katz as one of 30 players on his Midseason Wooden Award List.
