Plaisted Listed as Impact Freshman

Trent Plaisted is a 6-foot-11, 245 post player who can run a 4.6 40-yard dash and has a 41-inch running vertical jump.

BYU forward/center Trent Plaisted has been recognized by FoxSports.com as one of the nation's freshmen in 2005-06 that should make an impact.

Plaisted was a member of BYU's top-20 recruiting class in 2004 but appeared in only five games in 2004-05 before missing the rest of the season. He received a medical redshirt and is one of five freshmen, including three redshirt freshmen, on the BYU roster this year.

After BYU's two exhibition games, the 6-foot-11 245-pound lefty is averaging a team-leading 19 points and nine rebounds while shooting 59 perccent from the floor. The San Antonio native recorded a double-double of 27 points and 12 rebounds in BYU's win over Seattle Pacific in the team's final exhibition contest.
