Why did I choose to play football over other sports: It was the only place I could be violent and not get put in jail.

Before a football game, I: Pace.

How did I spend my off-season: Working out and selling shoes at MVP Sports.

What do I want to be doing 20 years from now: Coaching high school football.

Who is the best player I've ever faced: Cecil Sapp (CSU).

The dirtiest team I've ever played is: Hawai`i.

What would I like to do sometime in my life: Ride a bull.

One place I would like to visit: Norway.

If I could play another position, what would it be: Safety.

People say I look like: The Tanner family.

How did I select my jersey number: I was a freshman. It was the only one left.

What is my favorite hobby or activity away from football: Camping, fishing and hunting.

What is the best book I've ever read: Hatchet.

Who has had the greatest influence on my football career and why: Bob Steele, my football coach at Orem High School. He taught me life lessons on and off the field.

My favorite professor or most interesting class I've taken at BYU: Cal Cazier, Health.

What is my most memorable athletic achievement or moment: To be Honorable Mention All-Conference and a team captain.

If I had to give up all of my possessions except one, what would be the one thing I kept and why: My family: my son, Ty, and my wife, Hollie, because they make me happy.

My favorite scripture: John 14:27, because it makes me feel like everything will work out.

My advice to youngsters: Listen to your mom's advice.

Interesting fact most people don't know about me: I love rodeos.

If I were on "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire," the person I'd call for my lifeline is and why: My mother in-law. She knows everything.

If I could invite any three people to dinner, who would they be: Dick Butkus, President Bush and President Hinckley. And my wife because she will be cooking the food.

On game day, how do my friends and relatives follow the game: They sit as a big group in the east stands. They listen to the pre and post game show on KSL 1160. They come early to watch warm ups and stay late to wait at the locker room. After every home game, we go to Brick Oven.
