Cougars earn Academic All-Conference


PROVO, Utah (June 27, 2011) – Three golfers from the BYU men’s team were awarded Academic All-Conference Monday, following the completion of the 2011 spring season. 

Sophomore Zac Blair, who was named to the Division I PING All-Region West Team this year, earned his second consecutive Academic All-Conference award. Blair, a leisure services management major, led the MWC with a 71.33 stroke average and finished in the top-20 in eight out his 11 competitions this season. 

Daniel Reid, a junior majoring in sociology, and Adam Tebbs, a sophomore majoring in leisure services management also received their first Academic All-Conference awards. Both competed in seven events for the Cougars this season. 

To be eligible for selection, student athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.
