Fillmore Leads Cougars at Fresno State Lexus Golf Classic

FRESNO -- The BYU men's golf team sits tied for 14th place after two rounds at the Fresno State Lexus Golf Classic. Sophomore Robbie Fillmore leads the Cougars tied for 26th place at 1-under-par.

The Fresno State Lexus Golf Classic is a two-day tournament featuring 20 teams and 104 competitors. It is being held at the par-72 Fort Washington Country Club, and tournament tees are set at 6,729 yards.

Fillmore had a solid second round of play, as he advanced from 72nd to 26th place. He shot a 4-under-par 68 and hit three birdies on the back nine. Junior Nick Killpack follows Fillmore, as he sits tied for 37th place at 1-over-par.

The final round of the tournament will be played Tuesday, with tee times beginning at 8 a.m. Tournament stats can be found at www.golfstat.com.
