PROVO -- Manuel Merizalde, who missed two rounds of BYU's last tournament, will lead the Cougars Monday and Tuesday at the 14th annual Red River Classic in Dallas, Texas.
Played at the Dallas Athletic Club, the course plays to 72 par over 6,766 yards. Hosted by the University of Texas and the University of Oklahoma, BYU will compete in a 15-team field.
Play begins Monday with shotgun starts at 8:15 a.m. 1:30 p.m., playing 36-holes. The final round begins Tuesday at 8 a.m.
Merizalde was unable to play in the last tournament due to a stomach virus. Now healthy, Merizalde and senior Kyle Wight will lead the Cougars in the tournament.
