The men and women's diving teams will see their first action in two weeks when the Cougars host the BYU Diving Invitational this Friday and Saturday. BYU will be competing against in-state rival Utah and Mountain West Conference foe UNLV.

"I think all three teams have really good assets on their teams," Head diving coach Keith Russell said. "The University of Utah has a powerful men's squad and a good team on the women's side."

The Cougars found a lot of success against the Utes earlier in the season when the women swept both the 1-meter and 3-meter events at the Beehive relays, also hosted in Provo. Freshman Kristin Pitt picked up her first individual win diving for BYU that night.

The men will be led by the two-time Mountain West Conference Diver of the Week Scott Randall. So far this year Randall has dominated on the board, picking up first place finishes on both the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard against Notre Dame and UNLV.

The meet will begin on Friday at 10 a.m. with women's 1-meter and men's 3-meter prelims and finals being held that afternoon at 1 p.m. Saturday will follow the same format with the men competing on the 1-meter while the women compete on the 3-meter. The divers will also face-off on the platform Saturday afternoon.
