COLORADO SPRINGS -- BYU senior Jacoby Jacobsen earned Mountain West Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week honors, while BYU sophomore Ron Morris and TCU sophomore Kyle Callens were named men's co-divers of the week. Colorado State junior Jennifer Muniz was named Women's Swimmer of the Week, while Colorado State junior Nicole Kelley and Wyoming junior Stephanie Ortiz each earned diving plaudits.

Jacobsen, from Salt Lake City, Utah, won both backstroke events last weekend to help BYU defeat instate rival Utah, 154-144. The senior won the 100-yard back in 51.77 before recording a time of 1:53.79 in the 200-yard back to capture the event. Jacobsen also swam in the Cougars' 200-yard medley relay, as BYU touched first with a time of 1:33.31.

Callens, a sophomore from Deer Park, Texas, turned in the third-best 1-meter springboard performance in MWC history against Incarnate Word, scoring 341.62 to win the event. The score also set a new school record, surpassing Kelly McCain's mark of 335.10 set in 2006. Callens also scored 294.60 to place second on the 3-meter springboard, as the Frogs defeated the Cardinals, 158-132.

Muniz, who hails from Littleton, Colo., helped Colorado State clinch its 174-126 victory over Wyoming by sweeping the butterfly events. The junior recorded personal-bests in both races, finishing the 100-yard race in 56.40 and the 200-yard event in 2:05.29.

Kelley, a product of Brighton, Colo., landed a first-place finish on the 3-meter springboard with a personal-best 292.73. The junior's mark outscored Wyoming junior Stephanie Ortiz, who was previously undefeated on the 3-meter board in 2009. She also scored 262.87 on the 1-meter springboard to place third.

Ortiz, a junior from Colorado Springs, Colo., won three of four springboard events over the weekend. Against Colorado State, she won the 1-meter springboard with a score of 280.95, and placed second on the 3-meter springboard with a 283.05 clip.
