Toughest class you've taken at BYU?

Accounting 210

If you could play any other sport at BYU, what and why?

Football, though I would probably get broken in half because I am too thin. Mainly because they get all the money and the fame for training less than swimmers do; and, I could use a new X-box 360 (swimmer's only get a water bottle for being conference champions)!

Favorite place to go on the road?

The left lane - the fast lane. I really enjoy driving up in the mountains.

Favorite Restaurant in Provo:

Ottavio's Italian Restaurant on Center Street

What's your most extreme dream/goal?

Make the USA Olympic team

What is your biggest accomplishment in life so far?

Serving a successful mission for the Lord so I could be paired with marrying my high school sweetheart in the temple.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Living/working in Texas with my family and 3 boys (that aren't born yet).

How'd you get started in swimming?

Summer league fun when I was 5

What do you do in your free time?

Watch "The Office" and play the board game "The Settler's of Catan"

Favorite Restaurant:

"Cici's Pizza" on Mason Rd. in Katy, TX.

If you could live some one else's life who would it be?

Spiderman. He's awesome!

Don't have one.

One place you'd like to visit:

Who has had the greatest influence on your swimming career?

There have been two people, my sister Jenny who encouraged me to try out for my high school team when I wasn't sure I wanted to keep swimming. And, my wife Laurie, who has been a great source of motivation, without her encouragement I am sure that I would have missed many morning practices -- she's also part of the reason I came to BYU.

Favorite movie:

The 1985 Steven Spielberg classic "The Goonies."

Toughest part of swimming:

Getting out of my nice warm bed at 6am, driving in negative degree weather to get in a cold 40 year old pool, and then hold my heart rate above 180 for the main set of our workouts -- where's the fun in that.

Favorite Coach's Quote:

"I feel fine."

Jack Bauer or Cosmo?
