Anderson's bat helps Cougars complete sweep on Senior Night

PROVO, Utah – Behind a power performance by junior Brennon Anderson, BYU completed the sweep on Senior Night with a 10–5 victory over Santa Clara Saturday at Miller Park.

Langlois and Sander to play on U.S. Men’s Pan American Cup Team

PROVO, Utah — BYU men's volleyball outside hitters Jake Langlois and Brenden Sander are among 12 players who will represent the United States at the NORCECA Men’s Pan American Cup from May 21-26 in Mexico City.

The Pan American Cup will also include teams from Argentina, Canada, Chile, Cuba, Colombia, Costa Rica, Honduras and Mexico.

Schneemann wins it in bottom of the ninth for BYU

PROVO, Utah — Infielder Daniel Schneemann’s walkoff sacrifice fly rallied BYU baseball to a 9-8 comeback win over Santa Clara Friday night at Miller Park.

“Tonight we had to exercise patience because of the way the game started and hang in there hoping for the best,” BYU head coach Mike Littlewood said. “We grinded it out. It got us a victory.”

BYU softball's season ends at Columbia Regional

COLUMBIA, Mo. – After defeating Louisville 6-4 behind five RBI from Libby Sugg to extend the team's season, BYU softball lost 2-0 to Nebraska in the NCAA Columbia Regional.

“I'm proud of the way our tean fought today after a difficult night last night," BYU head coach Gordon Eakin said. "I thought they came out and showed great character today. They played hard."

EUGENE, Oregon — Behind a 2-under-par 70 performance by Alexandra White, BYU women's golf posted a 6-over-par round of 294 to claim 11th place after the first round of the NCAA Championships on Friday at Eugene Country Club.

2016 recruiting class ranked No. 11 by

PROVO, Utah – released its final rankings for the 2016 recruiting classes and BYU women’s volleyball came in at No. 11 in the nation, the highest ranking in program history.

This marks the fourth time a BYU recruiting class has been ranked in PrepVolleyball's top 30 since 2003. BYU’s previous high ranking was No. 19 in 2004.

EUGENE, Oregon (May 19, 2016) — BYU opened the 2016 NCAA Women’s Golf Championships today with a 10-over-par 298 at the Eugene Country Club. To accommodate BYU’s longstanding policy of not competing on Sunday, the NCAA made provisions for the Cougars to play Sunday’s third round on Thursday afternoon.

Rucker solid as BYU clinches spot in WCC tournament

PROVO, Utah — Pitcher Michael Rucker’s 11th win secured a spot for BYU baseball in the West Coast Conference tournament with an 8-2 victory over Santa Clara Thursday night.

“He's a winner (Rucker) and I'm really proud of how he played today,” BYU head coach Mike Littlewood said. "Fortunately tonight, Mike settled in, found a groove and chewed up seven innings for us. Our hitters were able to grind it out and we got it done tonight."

BYU run-ruled by No. 15 Mizzou in first game at NCAA Regionals

COLUMBIA, Mo. – BYU softball fell 9-0 to No. 15 Missouri in five innings on Thursday in the second game of the NCAA Columbia Regional after giving up six runs in the second inning.

“Missouri deserves the credit," BYU coach Gordon Eakin said. "They took it to us. They hit the ball really well and their pitcher was bringin it. Now it's win or go home."
