AUSTIN, Texas – Seniors Jason Witt and Spencer Gardner are on to the NCAA Championships after finishing in the top 12 in the 10,000m Thursday night at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas.

The BYU University Communications team hosted the third annual BYU Social Media Awards – The Golden Hashtags, an event to recognize departments and affiliated organizations for their savvy online efforts.

BYU Athletics to hold Fan Fest tonight in Lehi

PROVO, Utah – BYU fans will have a chance to meet Cougar athletes, get autographs and win prizes at a BYU Athletics Fan Fest in Lehi Thursday night.

Student-athletes and coaches will be in attendance to meet fans and sign autographs. Cosmo, cheerleaders and Cougarettes will also be at the event, along with the "Voice of the Cougars," Greg Wrubell, who will serve as the Fan Fest's master of ceremonies.

BYU receives SVG/NACDA Technology Leadership Award

ATLANTA – Brigham Young University was awarded the Technology Leadership Award Wednesday by the Sports Video Group and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics at the 2015 SVG College Sports Summit in Atlanta.

AUSTIN, Texas – Senior outfielder Lacey Hofstedt was recognized Friday for her outstanding collegiate softball season, garnering Capital One Academic All-America® third team honors as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Seaver elected to CSVA Executive Board Secretary

PROVO, Utah – (May 26, 2015) BYU’s Football Video and Technology Coordinator Errol Seaver has been elected to the executive board position of secretary for the Collegiate Sports Video Association, the organization announced Tuesday.

“I’m humbled and honored that my peers and counterparts at other universities elected me,” Seaver said. “I’m excited to work on behalf of my colleagues to make our position of video coordinator more noticeable within college sports.”

McGown resigns as men’s volleyball coach

PROVO, Utah – Chris McGown announced today he has resigned as head BYU men’s volleyball coach to spend more time with his family and to seek other business opportunities. McGown served as the head coach of the Cougars from 2012-15, accumulating a record of 88-31 and capturing two Mountain Pacific Sports Federation titles.

PROVO, Utah (May 26, 2015) —Four players on the 2014 BYU football team have been recognized by the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) as members of the 2015 NFF Hampshire Honor Society, which is comprised of college football players from all divisions of play who each maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college career.

POPPING BUTTONS: There have been several proud moments during the season. Among the top is a true button-popping celebration at home plate following Jarrett Jarvis' walk-off home run in a 4-3 victory at Saint Mary's College. All six-buttons were ripped off Jarvis' jersey No. 16 in the celebration which not only gave BYU the win, but the No. 3 seed going into the WCC Tournament.
