Cougars fall at Long Beach

The No. 11 BYU women's soccer team fell 1-0 on the road to Long Beach State on Saturday night. 
The 49ers (5-3-0) scored off a free kick in the 13th minute to take the lead. BYU goalkeeper Erica Owens was drawn out of the box and collided with Eileen Maes to give the 49ers the free kick.

PROVO, Utah -- Alexa Gray led the women’s volleyball team with 10 kills as the Cougars swept No. 2 University of San Diego on Friday night at the BYU Smith Fieldhouse.

BYU women’s cross country is ranked No. 27 in the latest United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll released earlier this week. The team is ranked for the first time this season after an outstanding performance at the Autumn Classic on Sept. 14.

Andrea Nelson Harrison led the team to victory with the top five Cougar runners placing in the top 10. BYU beat conference rival Portland by two points for first place.

The No. 11 ranked BYU women’s soccer team came from behind, scoring three goals in the last seven minutes of the match to win 3-2 at South Field on Thursday.

“What a game,” BYU women’s soccer head coach Jennifer Rockwood said.” That was fantastic. We said at halftime that we were going to see what we were made of in the second half and the girls really found a way to win.”
