Cougar women meet NC State in NCAA First Round action

With a 26-6 record, BYU women’s basketball is participating in this year’s NCAA Women’s Basketball Championships. The Cougars received an at-large bid and enter the tournament as the No. 12 seed in the Lincoln Regional. 

BYU will battle No. 5 seed North Carolina State (25-7), Saturday, March 22 at 3:30 p.m. PST at Pauley Pavilion on the UCLA campus. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN2 and live on the internet on BYURadio

No. 3 BYU welcomes Cal Baptist to Fieldhouse

PROVO, Utah—No. 3 BYU men’s volleyball hosts Cal Baptist Saturday at 7 p.m. MDT in the team’s third match of a five-match home stand. The match will be broadcast live on BYU Radio.

The Cougars (15-4, 15-2 MPSF) sit atop the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation after sweeping defending NCAA champion UC Irvine and UC San Diego at home. Long Beach State, who split its series with BYU this season, is in second place with a 12-4 conference record and is No. 2 in the AVCA poll.

Ticket prices have been announced for the 2014 NCAA women’s basketball tournament. The Cougars will compete in the first round against North Carolina State on Saturday, March 22, at 3:30 p.m. PDT. Tickets for that game and the second round of the tournament in Pauley Pavilion can be purchased on the uclabruins.com website and are priced as follows:

PROVO, Utah - The BYU football team conducted its seventh spring practice on Monday at the Indoor Practice Facility.

"Guys worked really hard today; we had a very tough, physical and competetive practice," BYU head coach Bronco Mendenhall said. "They're not getting tired of running into each other. I'm encouraged by what I see."

PROVO, Utah—For the 10th time in BYU women’s basketball history, the team will be competing in the NCAA Tournament. The Cougars (26-6) earned an at-large berth as the No. 12 seed in this year’s championships. They will battle No. 5 seed North Carolina State, Saturday at 4:30 p.m. MST at Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles. The game will air on ESPN2.

This NCAA appearance marks the sixth time BYU head coach Jeff Judkins has guided the women’s program to the NCAA postseason tournament.
