BYU senior defensive end Ezekiel Ansah is featured in a four-page Sports Illustrated article in this week's issue currently on newsstands. Ansah and the author of the article, Jeff Benedict, also spoke with Doug Tribou on NPR's "Only a Game" as the national radio program originating from Boston's 90.9 WBUR featured Ansah this weekend.

Women's volleyball earns Sweet Sixteen berth

PROVO, Utah--The No. 12 seed BYU women’s volleyball team solidified its undefeated season at home with a 3-0 win (25-17, 25-21, 25-18) against Oklahoma in the second round of the NCAA volleyball tournament at the Smith Fieldhouse on Saturday to make it to the Sweet Sixteen.

The Cougars will play Friday in the region semifinals in Omaha, Neb.

PROVO, Utah -- The No. 12-seeded BYU women's volleyball team swiftly took care of New Mexico State 3-0 (25-8, 25-17, 25-14) in the first round of the NCAA tournament Friday at the Smith Fieldhouse.

The BYU men's basketball team (5-2) will play its first true road game tomorrow at 1 p.m. CST against Iowa State. The Cougars and Cyclones have met four times before with Iowa State taking all previous meetings to lead the overall series 4-0.

Utah State on Tuesday

The Cougar women’s basketball team (3-4) returns to action next week, playing its first game in the Marriott Center since the contest against Weber State on Nov. 9.
BYU hosts Utah State (2-4) Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m.

BYUtv to broadcast NCAA women’s volleyball Friday

PROVO, Utah—BYUtv has obtained NCAA approval to broadcast the BYU vs. New Mexico State volleyball match in the first round of the 2012 NCAA Women’s Volleyball Tournament, on Friday at 7 p.m. MST (9 p.m. EST).

BYUtv will also broadcast the second-round match on Saturday at 7 p.m. MST (9 p.m. EST), should the Cougars advance. BYU is seeded No. 12 overall in the 64-team tournament.
