BYU, East Carolina Announce a Two-Game Football Series

PROVO, Utah — BYU and East Carolina today announced a home-and-home football series slated for the 2017 and 2018 seasons.

The Cougars will open the series in 2017 on the road at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium in Greenville, N.C., and will then host the Pirates at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo in 2018.

PROVO, Utah - The BYU softball team earned votes in both the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate and USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 preseason polls released today. The Cougars garnered eight votes and one vote, respectively, in the polls.

Sander Repeats as MPSF Player of the Week

PROVO, Utah - Sophomore Taylor Sander has been named MPSF Player of the Week for the second time in a row after his performance last weekend when No. 1 BYU defeated No. 5 USC. 

Sander (Norco, CA/Norco HS) repeats this honor from last week, leading two more MPSF wins in top-five competition. Sander hit .400 in the two-match series (48-12-90), averaging 5.33 kills over nine sets. He totaled seven blocks, and series-highs three aces and 54.5 points (6.06 P/S) over the weekend.
