Wilson wins heptathlon during day two of Cal Multi Meet

BERKELEY, Calif. – During the second day of the Cal Multi-Event Meet, Elizabeth Wilson came from behind to claim first place in the heptathlon Thursday with a new personal best 5,032 points at Edwards Track.

PROVO, Utah – Adam Law belted BYU’s third-straight double during the six-run eighth inning to lead the Cougars to an 8-3 victory over league-leading Pepperdine Thursday night.

Submarine reliever Derek Speigner pitched perfect eighth and ninth innings for his second win as BYU improved to 12-13 overall and 1-3 in the West Coast Conference. The Waves fell to 14-10 overall and 5-2 in WCC play.

PROVO, Utah – Winning its 10th match in a row, the No. 1 BYU men’s volleyball team topped No. 5 Pepperdine 3-1 (25-15, 23-25, 25-23, 25-18) on Thursday night at the Smith Fieldhouse.

PROVO, Utah - Eleven former Cougars from the BYU football team worked out and showcased their skills for 32 scouts from 24 NFL teams and one CFL club at BYU's annual Pro Day early Thursday afternoon.

Players were tested on their strength, agility and overall athleticism with exercises such as the bench press, vertical jump, broad jump, 40-yard dash, 3-cone drill and both 20-yard and 60-yard shuttles. Position specific drills also took place following the testing.

PROVO, Utah—The BYU women’s basketball team held its second-half lead until the last minute of the game, allowing Saint Mary’s to take the 59-55 victory on Wednesday at the Marriott Center and end BYU's run in the Women’s National Invitation Tournament.

SALT LAKE CITY—Utah had BYU’s number Tuesday night as it recorded a 5-4 victory in a 10-inning donnybrook at Spring Mobile Ballpark.

Utah (12-10) erased a 4-1 BYU (11-13) lead in the ninth inning to force an extra inning. TJ Bennett laced a game-winning single to left-center field in the 10th, capping a competitive night for the Ute first baseman.
