Ward, Cougars place fourth at Mountain Region Championships

RIVERDALE, Utah -- One day after having his eligibiltiy reinstated, Jared Ward finished fourth overall to lead No. 5 BYU men's cross country to a fourth-place team finish at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships on Friday. 

"It's fun to be back with the team," Ward said. "It's fun to see the support of the fans and even the competition. I felt pretty good, even better than I thought that I would. We took care of business today."

PROVO, Utah -- On the heels of sophomore Alexa Gray’s 17 kills and eight digs, No. 24 BYU women’s volleyball swept Gonzaga (25-19, 25-23, 25-22) en route to their fourteenth conference win Thursday night at the Smith Fieldhouse.
“I’m really happy with the win,” BYU head coach Shawn Olmstead said. “Gonzaga’s a really good team. I’m excited with how we maintained our composure.

Cougars not hanging their hats on Stanford win

Despite coming off a big win against Stanford Monday night, the Cougars are not hanging their hats and are continuing to prepare for the long season. 

"We definitely enjoyed the win against Stanford for a couple days," Tyler Haws said. "But, I think we've come back from the high and we're ready for the next challenge."

Suder named MPSF/TURBO Athlete of the Week

Game Notes: BYU vs. Mount St. Mary's

Coming off a 112-103 win against Stanford, BYU men's basketball will host Mount St. Mary's in the first game of the CBE Hall of Fame Classic. The game will be televised live on BYUtv and broadcast live on the Cougar IMG Sports Network on KSL Newsradio 102.7 FM and 1160 AM.

Rose announces signing class

PROVO, Utah – BYU basketball coach Dave Rose announced today that high school seniors Ryan Andrus, Payton Dastrup, TJ Haws, Dalton Nixon and Jake Toolson have signed National Letters of Intent to play for the Cougars. Rose also announced that Jordan Chatman and Isaac Neilson will return from two-year missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and play for BYU in 2014-15.

Team hosts Boston College Saturday

The BYU women’s basketball team returns to the Marriott Center on Saturday, Nov. 16 when it hosts Boston College. The Cougars (2-0) and the Eagles (1-1) take the court at 4 p.m. BYU Radio will carry the game live following the conclusion of the BYU football game vs. Idaho State.

About BYU
At least four different players have scored in double figures in each of the two games the BYU team has played to date. The team has also outrebounded its opponents and has recorded more assists in both contests.

BYU's Kyle Van Noy named Lott IMPACT Trophy semifinalist

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – Nine of the top student-athletes in college football today have been named semi-finalists for the Lott IMPACT Trophy, it was announced today by the Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation, sponsors of the award.
