Four Cougars named to All-WCC squad

SAN BRUNO, Calif. —Outfielders Jaycob Brugman and Jacob Hannemann, and infielders Adam Law and Brock Whitney of BYU were named to the All-West Coast Conference squad Wednesday.

TEMPE, Ariz.— NCAA baseball bubble team BYU pulled off its fifth upset over a ranked team in an 8-3 victory Tuesday at No. 13 Arizona State.

BYU (31-19) had upset No. 2 LSU, twice beaten No. 21 UC Irvine and last month won at No. 22 Gonzaga, so its No. 57 RPI should get another boost with this road win at No. 13 ASU (34-18-1). The Cougars extended their winning streak to seven games and have won 11 of their past 13 games and 20 of the last 26 outings.

PROVO, Utah—Senior shortstop JC Clayton garnered PCSC Player of the Year accolades, while newcomer Gordy Bravo was named Freshman of the Year and head coach Gordon Eakin was given his fourth Coach of the Year nod.

All-American Attracts Attention Across The Pond

No. 19 Cougars head to NCAA West Preliminaries

PROVO, Utah - The No. 19 BYU men’s track and field team heads to Austin, Texas, this weekend to compete in the NCAA West Preliminary Round for bids to the NCAA Outdoor Championships. The Cougars qualified the fourth most entries to the preliminary meets of any team in the country, behind Oregon, Texas A&M and Arkansas.

No. 13 ASU hosts BYU in tourney tune-up

No. 13 Arizona State hosts BYU Tuesday night in what the Cougars hope to use as a springboard to this week’s West Coast Conference Tournament.

BYU, 30-19 overall and 15-9 in the WCC, finishes the regular season at ASU, 34-17-1, 15-12,  in a game starting at 6:30 p.m. PT. ASU lost 7-6 to rival Arizona on Sunday.
