Tacoma, Wash.—Sophomore Desmond Poulson fired the salvos on Military Night to lead BYU baseball to a 4-1 victory over Seattle University at the AAA Raniers’ Cheney Stadium.

The Redhawks (15-15) dressed in camouflage tops, but were blanked by Poulson who was set to account for the first BYU shutout since beating New Mexico 1-0 last season.  Seattle got its unearned run in the ninth inning off BYU ace reliever Mason Marshall.

#4 BYU Defeats #7 Penn State at Home

PROVO, Utah – After dropping the first set, the No. 4 BYU men’s volleyball team came back to win the next three sets (20-25, 26-24, 25-18, 25-18) to top No. 7 Penn State in front of a home crowd.

The Cougars (22-6) win snapped the Lions (20-4) seven-match win streak.

BYU Announces Upgrades to Marriott Center

PROVO, Utah (April 13, 2012) — Brigham Young University announced today plans to upgrade three areas of the Marriott Center beginning summer 2012. The lower-bowl bench seating on the north side of the arena will be replaced with prime chair seating. In addition, a new sound system will be installed in the arena and the men’s and women’s basketball locker rooms will be renovated.
