Hoffman and Friel earn spots on 2013 CFPA Offensive Awards Watch List

College Football Performance Awards announced Cody Hoffman and Kaneakua Friel as members of its 2013 CFPA Offensive Awards Watch List this week. Hoffman earned a spot on the 2013 CFPA Wide Receiver Trophy Watch list while Friel earned a spot on the 2013 CFPA Tight End Trophy Watch List.

PROVO, Utah – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced today that two members of the BYU women’s track and field team earned All-America honors at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Championships.

Hannemann gets second Freshman All-American honor

PROVO, Utah -- BYU outfielder Jacob Hannemann has been named to the 2013 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Freshman All-American Second Team.

Cougars earn four All-America honors, National Player of Year, Freshman of Year

PROVO, Utah - Four Cougars earned Volleyball Magazine All-America honors, with the magazine also naming Taylor Sander the National Player of the Year and Ben Patch the Freshman of the Year.

BYU led all teams with four All-America selections. Stanford, UC Irvine and UCLA each had three players earn Volleyball Magazine All-America honors.

Carr takes fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase

EUGENE, Ore. – BYU junior Curtis Carr set a lifetime best in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and finished fourth overall at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday.
