Home Opener, Conference Opener This Week

PROVO, Utah - The BYU softball team hosts its home opener against Idaho State on Tuesday, March 20, before playing its first-ever Western Athletic Conference series this weekend against New Mexico State at Gail Miller Field.

The Cougars will play Idaho State (3-19) at 6 p.m. on Tuesday before playing New Mexico State (17-12) on Friday, March 23, at 6 p.m. and a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 1:30 p.m. All three games will be nationally televised on BYUtv.

HONOLULU, Hawaii - The No. 4 BYU men's volleyball team has now won six-straight matches after its most recent came on Saturday at No. 11 Hawaii in a three-match victory (25-14, 29-27, 25-17).

PROVO, Utah – Southpaw Mark Anderson kept his record unspotted, but Seattle spoiled BYU’s home baseball opener Saturday at Larry H. Miller Field.

Anderson improved to 4-0 as BYU improved to 7-8 from his 9-2 victory in the nightcap. However, Seattle (10-8) defeated the Cougars in the opener of the twin bill, 2-1.

CHICAGO—In its first NCAA Tournament game in five years, the No. 10 seed BYU women’s basketball team ended its season with a 59-55 loss to No. 7 seed DePaul at the Allstate Arena Saturday.

The West Coast Conference Tournament champions finished the season with a record of 26-7 overall.
