In connection with the recently announced Marriott Center renovation, new basketball seating opportunities will be available to every BYU fan, with priority for seating locations given to Cougar Club Members (for more information on the renovation and seating options, go to http://www.byubasketball.com). As you may be aware, season tickets holders will be able to select their own seats for the 2012–13 season.
In conjunction with this process, BYU Athletics has revised its priority points system, and we want you to be aware of the factors that will determine your priority, not only for season basketball tickets, but also for football season tickets, tickets to away games, and bowl tickets.
Highest priority for seating selection will be given to current Cougar Club Members, based on membership level and priority points within that level. Remaining seats will be available to Non-Cougar Club Members according to the priority points assigned to them.
Points are assigned to both groups based on the same criteria:
1 point for every dollar donated to Cougar Club since 1987 (regardless of current membership status)
100 points for every continuous year of purchase of men’s basketball and/or football season tickets since 1980
2,000 points for every men’s basketball Courtside season ticket purchased since 2000
1,000 points for every football premium season ticket purchased in section 34 since 2003
500 points for every football premium season ticket purchased in section 33B or in section 35A since 2003
The best way to increase your priority is to upgrade your membership to a higher level, since every patron at a higher level will receive seating priority before all donors at lower levels.
All donations made on or before May 31 will count towards priority for the upcoming basketball season. We urge you to consider upgrading your level, or making an additional contribution, prior to May 31.
If you would like information about your current priority or the priority point system, please contact the Cougar Club Office at 801-422-2583 or 800-426-4298.
