LAS -- Despite strong third rounds from juniors Camille Gardner and Shayla Forsey, the BYU women’s golf team competed for a 15th-place finish at 20-over-par at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown.

Gardner and Forsey finished tied for the No. 51 spot at 4-over-par. Gardner completed round three at two-under-par, while Forsey finished at 1-under-par for the final round.
Gardner gradually improved the number of strokes taken in each round as she made seven birdies and just one bogey and two double-bogeys in round three. Forsey made two birdies in the final round with just one bogey.
Freshman Maggie Yuan matched her second-round score of +3 75, ending the tournament at five-over-par after making 1 birdie on the day.
Sophomore Jade Bollinger fell a few places when she scored a +6 78 in the final round, making two birdies but six bogeys.
Natalia Jimenez, a senior from Bogota, Colombia, suffered a difficult tournament, placing tied for the No. 83 spot at +15 overall. She scored an 8-over-par round three after making a birdie and five bogeys on the day.
No. 19 Pepperdine finished in first place at –41, with No. 5 Oklahoma State coming in second at –29.
