PROVO, Utah (June 29,2010) - Three BYU women’s golfers were named Tuesday to the Spring 2010 Academic All-Mountain West Conference team, headed by junior Jade Bollinger who earned her third-consecutive award.

Bollinger, a two-time AGCA Scholar Athlete, posted the third-best Cougar score at the 2010 MWC Championships in April, finishing 30th in her final event as a Cougar.

Junior Emily Copier and senior Shayla Forsey joined Bollinger and five men’s golfers as eight of the 760 MWC student-athletes selected. Copier was awarded her second honor in as many years, while Forsey picked up her first Academic All-MWC award.

The men’s and women’s golf teams contributed to 149 Cougar athletes awarded Academic All-Conference honors, the most in the MWC. To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have finished at least one academic term at BYU while also maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or contributing member of their team.
