Women's Golf Frequently Asked Questions

How has BYU fared in the Mountain West Conference since its inception in 1999? 
The Cougars annually place near the top of the MWC race. The team has finished in second place the past two seasons along with 2000 and 2004. BYU came in third place in 2006, and overall the team has never placed lower than fourth in the MWC Championships. 

How has BYU fared in the West Coast Conference since joining in 2011? 
The Cougars finished in sixth place during their first season in the West Coast Conference. 

How has BYU fared nationally? 

In 2007, the Cougars finished 17th in the NCAA Championships, the program's second-highest place since the inception of the MWC. BYU finished 24th at the 2005 NCAA Championships and 13th at the NCAA West Regionals in 2004. In 2008, the Cougars finished at No. 17 in the NCAA West Regionals. In 2011, the Cougars finished 12th at the NCAA West Regionals.

Where are the events held? 
The Cougars host the BYU Dixie Classic every spring at La Entrada at Snow Canyon in St. George, Utah. The team annually plays in some of the toughest tournaments in the country. 

How long has the program existed at BYU? 
Official records have been kept at BYU for women's golf since 1975, but the Cougars have been competing in the NCAA since before1970.
