UP CLOSE

Favorite cold cereal: Frosted Flakes with cheerios

Favorite Brad Cattermole quote: "Work it...work it baby...work it...own it!"

I chose gymnastics over other sports because: I loved doing handstands!

Before / for a meet I:

- Like to eat a banana on white bread.

- Must wear a black muscle back singlet. (tank-top)

- Have to warm up wearing my silver sleeper earrings (small silver hoops)

- Must put a chair behind the vault run up. I sit down between turns to calm myself down.

- Do the same warm up every time.

- Listen to Sean Paul and other clubbing music.

How did I spend my off-season: Recovering from surgery and then trying not to injure myself. (Didn't quite succeed at that). Coaching and trying to earn the Dinero.

Who has had the greatest influence on my gymnastics career and why:

I'd like to thank my mum (pause and wipe tears away), brother Clid and sister Aja. My family has always been my backbone.

What do I want to be doing 20 years from now: What, 20years?! Let's just get through this season first. It's all about taking one step at a time. (Stress management HLTH 410)

Who is the best gymnast/team I have ever faced: Russia, China and every other dominating country in the world of gymnastics

What would I like to do sometime in my life: Jump out of an airplane!

One place I would like to visit: Africa, and Elsalvador because my roommate says I have to!

My favorite book is: Book, what? I read books? At the moment it's the Nutrition 100 textbook.

If I could play another sport it would be: I have No idea. I don't like water so there goes the water sports. I have no hand eye coordination (can't catch a ball...like most gymnasts). That doesn't really leave me with all that many options. I can't really imagine doing anything else but gymnastics.

People say I look like: People say I look like I'm of Samoan, Fijian ethnicity. And you know what? How right they are!

My favorite professor or most interesting class I've taken at BYU: Athletic training Taping Lab. Put (gymnast) Sierra (Jacobs) and I together with a teacher like Blaine Long and it really leaves for an exciting final.

What is my most memorable athletic achievement or moment: Competing in a whole meet on a broken hand (try doing bars... WOW it hurt!) and another meet on a broken foot. I'm not kidding. Gymnasts are tough athletes. Other than that I'm still creating it.

If I had to give up all of my possessions except one, what would be the one thing I kept: Family photo. I told you they mean a lot to me.

Favorite scripture: Ummmm???

My favorite web site is: My family.com. It's the best way for our family all around the world to keep in touch.

My advice to youngsters: No matter what the trial, be positive! The power of positive thinking can take you far.

Interesting fact most people don't know about me: I competed in Sports Aerobics and was age group national champion. I jumped around making facials like a crazy woman.

If I were on "Who Wants to be a Millionaire," the person I'd call for my lifeline is and why: Uncle Bob and Aunty Maraia. They possess a wealth of knowledge. You'd have to to have a P.H.D

If I were hosting you on a recruiting visit to Provo, the most impressive thing I'd have to show you is: Fat Cats and the gymnastics team!

If you could invite any three people to dinner who would they be: My mum, Grandma and get back to me on this one.

On the day of a meet, how do your friends and relatives follow the meet: Family in New Zealand, California and around the world follow internet updates or they just ring me straight after. The family and friends in the Utah region best be coming to every home meet!
