PROVO -- This weekend the No. 24 BYU women's soccer team opens its regular season home schedule with games against No. 17 Michigan on Friday night, and Colgate on Saturday night.
Friday night is Youth Soccer Night and Ward Night, Youth Soccer Players in uniform get in for $1, and Saturday is Bounce Back Night where fans will receive a voucher for $1 off regular admission.
The Cougars enter the 2003 season as the four-time defending Mountain West Conference Champions, and return eight starters from last season's squad.
One of those returning is senior midfielder Aleisha Rose who was named a preseason Soccer America All-American on Tuesday. Rose, a three-time All-American, is one of six returning seniors that hopes to build upon last season's successful 16-6-0 run that saw the Cougars receive their sixth consecutive NCAA Tournament invite and finished with a No. 23 ranking.
BYUTV will carry the Friday night match up between the Cougars and the Wolverines with kick off at 7:00 p.m. at South Stadium. Saturday's game against Colgate will also get underway at 7:00 p.m.
