PROVO -- The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has named Senior Hermann Trophy Candidate Andrea Willis to the 2009 All-America Third Team.

Willis, a defender from Riverside, Calif., finished her senior season as an anchor for a BYU defense that allowed only 15 goals from opponents all year. Willis recorded two goals and 31 shots after starting in all 24 games for the Cougars.

Willis was named Mountain West Conference Defensive Player of the Year in her senior season and also named MWC Player of the Week twice.

The Cougars finished the season with a 18-4-2 record, defeating four ranked-teams in regular season play and advancing to the second round of the 2009 NCAA College Cup.

The NSCAA All-America selections will be recognized at the annual All-America Luncheon, held in Philadelphia, Pa., on Jan. 16 as part of the 2010 NSCAA Convention.
