PHOENIX -- The College Swimming Coaches Association of America released its latest coaches dual meet rankings poll Friday, with the BYU women’s swim and dive team receiving 11 votes, ranking them No. 29 in the nation.

“We definitely belong in the rankings,” said BYU head coach Tim Powers. “Our only loss has come from No. 2 Stanford and I am very pleased with the women’s performance this season.”

The BYU women’s team has had a flawless Mountain West Conference season (8-0), and has gone 17-1 overall in 2008-09 with its only loss to Stanford at the Anteater Shootout Nov. 9.

“One of the reasons I think we’re receiving votes is because we beat Utah, and they were receiving votes before,” said Powers.

The men and women will prepare to take on each conference team in a little over a week in Oklahoma City at the MWC Championships Feb. 25-28. They will be in the fastest suits the industry offers and will be competing for a shot at the NCAA Championships.

“It is very hard to predict who will and will not make it to Nationals,” said Powers. “We just prepare ourselves to be the best we can be and see where we end up. It is one of the hardest meets to get into in the world.”

Below are the men’s and women’s rankings from the CSCAA poll released Friday.
