With four incoming freshmen, The Tennis Recruiting Network ranked the BYU women’s tennis 2013 recruiting class No. 15 in the country. The Cougars are the only West Coast Conference team on the list and are ranked ahead of tennis powerhouses such as Florida, Texas A&M, Michigan and California.

“I knew I had a strong recruiting class for 2013 but it was great to get the national recognition,” head coach Lauren Jones-Spencer said. “To be ranked ahead of top 10 programs is great. I am really looking forward to bringing this class in and start working with them.”

As the 19th ranked player in the country Mayci Jones, the younger sister of head coach Jones-Spencer, leads the 2013 BYU class. Other freshmen to join the Cougars in the fall include two California players in five-star recruit Toby Miclat and four-star recruit Savannah Ware. Arizona-native Demi Daniels rounds out the freshman roster.
