Richardson Named MWC Player Of The Year

PROVO -- With only one conference loss on the year, BYU's Jodi Richardson claimed Mountain West Conference Player of the Year honors for women's tennis.

Richardson, 6-1 in conference and 21-8 overall in singles, helped the Cougars to a first place finish in the Mountain West Conference. Richardson teamed with Brooke Ferney in doubles, posting a 25-7 record, including 6-1 in the conference at the No. 1 spot.

Richardson, a native of Canberra, Australia, is joined by teammates Lu Oswald and Dominique Reynolds on the Mountain West Conference All-Conference Team. Oswald posted a 19-12 singles record on the season and Reynolds was 22-6. Richardson is a two-time All-MWC performer.

In doubles, Richardson and Ferney were named to the All-Conference Team, along with Dominique Reynolds and Liza Khoudoiarova, who posted an 18-6 record on the year.
